Using OttawaCityUsed. You will post in the appropriate category or area and will not do any of the following bad things:
violate any laws or our Prohibited Content Policy (see below);
be false or misleading;
infringe any third-party right;
distribute or contain spam, chain letters, or pyramid schemes;
distribute viruses or any other technologies that may harm OttawaCityUsed or the interests or property of OttawaCityUsed users;
impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure or interfere with the proper working of the OttawaCityUsed;
copy, modify, or distribute any other person's content;
harvest or otherwise collect information about others, including email addresses, without their consent;
bypass measures used to prevent or restrict access to OttawaCityUsed.
OttawaCityUsed Policies
The following activities are prohibited from allottawaused.com:
Posting an Ad if you are not located Canada
Posting an item for sale that is
o not located in Canada
o is illegal to own, buy or sell in your area of residence
o is in the prohibited items list
Posting multiple Ads that are too similar to each other
Posting an Ad that serves no other purpose than to send traffic to another web site
Posting an Ad that defames anyone or contains "hate speech"
Posting a multi-level marketing or other prohibited job
Posting pornography, nudity or other prohibited personal
Any Ads or users that do not comply with the allottawaused.com policy will be removed and blocked from the site.
Our general rule is that you may not list, buy or sell items or services that are illegal to own, buy or sell in your Province of residence, or that are not bought or sold in compliance with applicable laws and regulations

We specifically prohibit the following items:

Weapons and related items (such as firearms, firearm parts and magazines, ammunition, BB and pellet guns, tear gas, stun guns, switchblade knives, and martial arts weapons)
The following types of Pet ads are prohibited on the site:
The Animal Pedigree Act makes it a federal offence to sell an animal of a recognized breed as purebred, registered or eligible to be registered if it is not.
Any Ad that violates the Animal Pedigree Act
The following types of Job ads are prohibited on the site:
Multi-level marketing or pyramid schemes
Business or job opportunities that require upfront or periodic payments
Business or job opportunities that pay only commissions, unless the Ad makes it clear that the sole source of compensation would be commission and clearly describes the product or service that would be sold
Business or job opportunities that require recruitment of other members, distributors or agents
Ads that are not clear regarding what type of work would be required
The following types of Personal or Erotic Service ads are prohibited on the site:
Ads that contain pornographic or individuals engaging in sexual activities
Ads that ask for sex from under age persons
Ads that offer sex or sexual activities in exchange for money, products or services
Ads that depicts a person(s), regardless of gender, engaged in actual sexual conduct
Ads that contain bestiality
Ads that contain masturbation
Ads that contain sadistic or masochistic abuse
Ads posted by Men in the "Women seeking Women" category
Ads posted by Men in the "Women seeking Men" category
Ads posted by Women in the "Men seeking Men" category
Ads posted by Women in the "Men seeking Women" category
The following types of items are generally permitted to be listed if and to the extent that their sale and purchase is legally permitted in your Province of residence, and that such sales and purchases occur in compliance with applicable laws and regulations:

Real Estate and Rental Properties
Used Clothing and Bedding
Vehicles, Vehicle Equipment and Devices
Other Posting Policies:
You can post up different ads per day on OttawaCityUsed.com. Duplicate ads or ads that are too similar to an existing Ad that you have posted can be posted in two (2) different categories per site within your province. Any more than two and your ads will be removed. We also ask that you not post outside the province you are located in. If you violate these policies your ads will be deleted (sometimes without notice). Attempting to post after having your ads removed may result in a "blocked" message notifying you that you have posted too many ads. To avoid this, please list whatever you are advertising only once per site within your province. If you want to re-list an item that you are already advertising on the site, delete your existing Ad first.
Posting a listing with a link to another web site for the sole purpose of directing visitors to that web site is not permitted. You may, however, include a link in your post if it is to give the user more information about the item being offered (for example product details, pictures, etc.).
You are not permitted to defame anyone or include "hate speech" directed at individuals or groups in your postings. AllOttawaUsed.com reserves the right to delete any Ads from the site that are deemed to negatively impact the community. If you encounter any such Ads, please flag it as such or contact us.
Abusing OttawaCityUsed. Please contact use about any problems or offensive content so that together we can keep the site working properly. We may limit or terminate our service, remove hosted content and take technical and legal steps to keep users off OttawaCityUsed if we think that they are creating problems or acting inconsistently with the letter or spirit of our policies. However, whether we decide to take any of these steps, remove hosted content or keep a user off OttawaCityUsed or not, we do not accept any liability for monitoring OttawaCityUsed or for unauthorized or unlawful content on OttawaCityUsed or use of OttawaCityUsed by users.
Fees and Services. Using OttawaCityUsed is free. This includes posting an Ad, replying to an Ad, posting in the forums, etc. We may charge fees for premium services such as featuring your Ad in the Top Ads section. Our fees are quoted in Canadian Dollars, and we may change them from time to time. Our fees are non-refundable, and you are responsible for paying them when they're due. If you don't, we may limit your ability to use the services. If your payment method fails or your account is past due, we may collect fees owed using other collection mechanisms (for accounts over 180 days past due, we may deduct the amount owed from your PayPal account balance).
Content. OttawaCityUsed contains stuff from us, you, and other users. You agree not to copy, modify, or distribute OttawaCityUsed, our copyrights or trademarks. When you give us content, you are granting us a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sub-licensable right to exercise the copyright, publicity, and database rights to that content. (We need these rights to host and display your content.) If you believe that your rights have been violated, please notify our designated copyright agent at OttawaCityUsed and we will investigate the matter. We reserve the right to remove content where we have grounds for suspecting the violation of these terms or of any partys rights.
Liability. You agree not to hold us responsible for things other users post or do. As most of the stuff on OttawaCityUsed comes from other users, we do not guarantee the accuracy of postings or user communications or the quality, safety, or legality of whats offered. We also cannot guarantee continuous or secure access to our services. Accordingly, to the extent legally permitted we expressly disclaim all warranties, representations and conditions, express or implied, including those of quality, merchantability, merchantable quality, durability, fitness for a particular purpose and those arising by statute. We are not liable for any loss, whether of money (including profit), goodwill, or reputation, or any special, indirect, or consequential damages arising out of your use of OttawaCityUsed, even if you advise us or we could reasonably foresee the possibility of any such damage occurring. Some jurisdictions do not allow the disclaimer of warranties or exclusion of damages, so such disclaimers and exclusions may not apply to you.
Despite the previous paragraph, if we are found to be liable, our liability to you or any third party (whether in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability in tort, by statute or otherwise) is limited to the greater of (a) the total fees you pay to us in the 12 months prior to the action giving rise to liability, and (b) 20 Canadians.
Personal Information. By using OttawaCityUsed, you agree to the collection, transfer, storage and use of your personal information by OttawaCityUsed. (the "data controller") on servers located in the United States. You also agree to receive marketing communications from us unless you tell us that you prefer not receive such communications.
General. These terms and the other policies posted on OttawaCityUsed constitute the entire agreement between OttawaCityUsed and you, superseding any prior agreements. This agreement is governed by the laws of Ireland. If we don't enforce any particular provision, we are not waiving our right to do so later. If a court strikes down any of these terms, the remaining terms will survive. We may automatically assign this agreement in our sole discretion in accordance with the notice provision below. Except for notices relating to illegal or infringing content, please contact ottawacityused,com Customer Service . We will send notices to you via the email address you provide. We may update this agreement at any time, with updates taking effect when you next post or after 30 days, whichever is sooner.
